A new book on urbanization, biodiversity and ecosystem services was published this fall, 2013, by Springer. This is the first comprehensive cross scale examination of the complex relationships between these processes. The volume was commissioned by the United Nations Convention for Biological Diversity (CBD) and includes experts from around the world. CISC members, William Solecki and Peter J. Marcotullio were involved in the organization, production and writing of chapters.
