Find an Environmental Internship

At CISC, we believe that educational experiences outside of the classroom serve to enhance the academic experience of students by providing opportunities for hands-on learning in the sustainability field. Through their internship experiences, students further their education and gain the skills necessary to become the sustainability practitioners of the future.
The Institute for Sustainable Cities offers internship placement assistance to CUNY students in all fields of study and levels of experience on both the undergraduate and graduate level. Through these internships, students do hands-on work with government agencies, nonprofits, and private businesses and become familiar with the variety of entry points into the sustainability movement.
CISC has gathered the following internship listings from our partners and colleagues. We hope that you will find this list helpful in selecting an environmental internship. (To view opportunities to intern here at CISC, check out the CISC Internship Program webpage.)
Applications for internship positions below are reviewed and selected by the organizations that host them, not the Institute itself. We encourage interested applicants to apply early.
Note: You must be logged in through HunterNet at the Main Hunter campus to access the listings available through the above link.

Environmental Internships
CISC provides a list of environmental internship opportunities each year with the aim of helping students find relevant internship placements, of which the above are a random sampling. See the full list of external internships. (Note: this list is viewable by Hunter Students who are logged in through HunterNET at the 68th Street Campus.)
